Before You Move: Remember...
- Book your
removal well in advance.
- Draw a rough
plan of the location of both your present and future homes.
- Make early
arrangements for telephone, gas, electricity and other services.
- Check that
your appliances such as cooker, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher and others are
disconnected and fit into their new locations
- Arrange for
your mail to be forwarded, your local Post Office will give you the
correct form and charge only a small fee.
- Make sure any
meters in your old home are read before you leave.
- Pack your own
jewellery, but leave any other items in their drawers.
- Try to decide
in which rooms items of furniture will be placed but leave the marking
to our staff.
- Label old and
new keys and give one set to the removers.
- Arrange for
parking at both homes, the police will gladly help if necessary.
